QUOTA POLICIES AND REGULATIONS

The following are some of the policies and regulations made by Chicken Farmers of Ontario under the Farm Products Marketing Act.

Important! All policies and procedures of CFO on certain issues are not included in these documents.  Persons should contract CFO prior to relying on them to ensure that they have received all information and direction from the Board relating to a particular matter.

General Regulation No. 2293-2010
This regulation sets out the requirements relating to the production and marketing of chicken within Ontario.

Quota Policy No. 170-2005 As Amended 02.18.10 And Quota Policy No. 176-2010  (Amendments to Quota Policy 170-2005)
These policies describe how the Board administers its quota system.

Producer to Out-of-Province Processor Regulation No. 2072-2005
This regulation describes the requirements of producers for marketing chicken to out-of-province processors.

Self-Marketing Policy No. 173-2008 - effective Quota Period A-91
This policy describes how a producer with quota may engage in the self-marketing of chicken.

OFFSAP Quota Policy No. 166-2004 (Including Amendments)
This policy sets out the requirements that must be met by producers in relation to the On-Farm Food Safety Assurance Program.

Market Development Policy No. 157-2002 (Including Amendments)
This policy describes how the Board determines and administers Market Development crop quotas to producers and processors.

Supplemental Quota Policy No. 171-2005 As Amended 02.18.10 And Supplemental Quota Policy No. 177-2010 (Amendments to Supplemental Quota Policy No. 171-2005)
This policy describes the way in which chicken supply is determined and distributed to licenced processors.

Processor Regulation No. 2073-2005
This regulation sets out the requirements of the processor chicken supply allocation system.

Quota Policy No. 172-2007
This policy sets out the requirements that producers must follow in relation to detection, reporting and management of an infectious poultry disease.
